Thank the Lord I didn't draft Tom Brady this year in my Fantasy Football league. Not to sound insensitive, but this is a huge blow to the football world. I mean T-Brady is the man. He's got the classic look of a QB, he's marketable, he plays in a big market. The NFL needs him.
I am a stickler for happy endings and when I say I was past crushed last year when they lost the Super Bowl that is an understatement. We all know the story. They came to within an Asante Samuel interception of winning the Super Bowl. Yes, yes I am hating on Asante. I love dude, but then he dashed the dream for the money. Eagles aint winning nothing no time soon.
I try to understand why the football God's giveth and taketh. I mean, there is a reason for everything, but the Patriots were coming back to avenge the loss in the Superbowl. They were not going to go 19-0, but they were going to be back and win the Superbowl, Randy Moss was going to be the MVP and order was going to be restored. As selfish as this sounds, even if they do win with Matt Cassel it won't even be the same.
So what if I'm whining. It's my blog and I'll whine if I want to!
Peace in the Middle East,
