Shipley proved me wrong. He stepped up and shredded the OU defense for 11 receptions for 112 yards and a 96 yard KO return for a touchdown.

This man came to play. VanDeStegg recorded 3 sacks, a forced fumble and a key pass defense to help the Golden Gophers defeat Illinois and put a dark cloud on the Illini homecoming.

Derek Anderson, Browns QB
Anderson woke up from hibernation to throw 18/29 for 310 yards and 2 touchdown strikes as the Browns defeated the once undefeated NY Giants on Monday night.
Kevin Williams, Minnesota DT
Williams defeated the Lions by himself with 8 tackles and 4 sacks to help the Vikes take a little bit of heat off of head coach Brad Childress with a 12-10 win over the Detroit Lions.
