The President Has Spoken

Even though there is no real playoff system in college football right now we are in the midsts of a playoff. I believe in my heart of hearts that the national champion will be one of four teams that happen to all play each other in the next few weeks. The winner of the Florida/Alabama will play the winner of the Texas Tech/Oklahoma game for the national title. I think this is a simple concept that you should take in real slow and let digest for a while, before making a rush to judgment. I feel as though all four of these teams will not be upset for the rest of the year. Meaning besides the big games within this mini-playoff there are no threats to these four teams to be upset. What this means is that they are in a pseudo playoff to reach the national title game. It looks something like this:

Alabama vs. Florida to take on the winner of Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma

The Big 12 South winner will beat the challenger from the Big 12 North Division, the Missouri Tigers, easily. Therefore, this is a winner take all bracket that should be just as revered as the Final Four or the NFC/AFC championships. I think that this year's national champion will have to be an offensive juggernaut and Alabama is not that, so even though you win championships with defense, offenses like those at Tech, Florida and Oklahoma are crazy, ignorant, stupid good, thus eliminating the Crimson Tide. Florida, thus by my Darwinian projection will make it to Miami. Oklahoma vs Texas Tech is trickier than the SEC venue. Oklahoma is at home which is a clear advantage for OU. Oklahoma has only lost 2 home games since Bob Stoops became head coach 10 years ago. Texas Tech is 0-5 against OU in Norman those years. Tech is really going to have to put up some points in order to win this one as Oklahoma is tops in the country in scoring and Tech is 3rd overall in team scoring. I believe that Oklahoma wins this game and also beats Missouri to face a BIG COLD GLASS of REALITY that is the FLORIDA GATORS. I think that Florida dominates the Sooners or the Dolphins, whoever shows up at Pro Player Stadium that night to walk away with the national championship.
