You all saw the games, hopefully so I'm not going to tell you things you already know, rather I'm just going to give you a look at the weekend from my huge round big eyes.
Colts vs. BoltsDarren Sproles is a monster. He's played this way all his life and its a great time for fans to take notice and NFL GMs especially since Sproles' contract is up this season.
The Colts had plenty of chances to put the game away, so even though the late defensive holding call against Colts CB Tim Jennings was very bogus, the Colts have no one to blame but themselves.
NFL OT rules suck. Peyton Manning, the NFL MVP, didn't even get to see the field in overtime. Yes, defense wins championships, but it is still not fair. Both teams should touch the ball on offense. It all comes down to a coin toss and who gets the ball first. In this past season, 9 of the that went into OT were decided in the first possession.
Falcons vs. CardinalsThe final score does not indicate how well the Cardinals controlled this game. They held the leagues second leading rusher, Michaedl Turner, to only 60 yards. A season low for him. You know the Cards are going to put up points, but with Edgerrin James gaining 73 yards and the defense stepping up, it was a no brainer who would win. Matt Ryan played well going 26 for 40 for 199 and 2 td strikes, but he also threw 2 picks. Either way, Cards deserved to win, and the Falcons had a great season.
Ravens vs. DolphinsThe Dolphins had a league low 13 turnovers in 16 games this season. When you don't turn the ball over you win games which is why the Fins won the AFC East this season. Well yesterday they didnt stick to their bread and butter, which is smart football. The Fins turned the ball over 5 times yesterday, a season high. The Ravens are good, but don't give them any help by beating yourselves which is exactly what the Dolphins did. Ed Reed balled out as usual, picking off two passes and taking one back 64 yards to the house.
Eagles vs. VikingsQuarterbacks are pretty important. Both teams turned the ball over twice. It was a hard fought game. Adrian Peterson was nuetralized all game as was Brian Westbrook, yes they both had two huge plays but they weren't the reason that the Eagles won or the Vikings lost. The QBs were. Stat line, please.
Donovan McNabb
23 of 34 passing for 300 yards, 1 touchdown vs. 1 pick
Tavaris Jackson
15 of 35 passing for 164 yards, no tds vs. 1 pick
Peace Out,
Francis White, Jr.
