We at 6magazineOnline nominate the best players of the week with a Jimmy Award. A Jimmy is tribute to the best football player of all-time, Mr. Jim Brown. Thank you for paving the way Mr. Brown and showing us fans and players what greatness really is.
Juice Williams, Illinois QB, Jr.
Juice went 26/42 for 451 yards and 5 touchdown passes as he bombed Mizzou's suspect secondary. If he keeps this up he'll book a ticket to NYC at the Downtown Athletic Club for the Heisman Trophy.
Sean Weatherspoon, Missouri LB, Jr.
Weatherspoon had nine tackles (including one for a loss) and two interceptions to key the Tigers' 52-42 victory over Illinois. He capped off his big effort with a clinching 35-yard interception return for a touchdown with 3:18 remaining to seal the game.
Toby Gerhart, Stanford RB, Jr.
Gerhart went ape(you know what) as he rolled up 147 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns including a 46 yard burner as the Cardinal defeated the Oregon State Beavers 36-28.
Jacory Harris, Miami QB, Fr.
The true freshman debuted his dash and darts against Charleston Southern of the FCS. Harris went 16/26 for 190 yards and one touchdown and ran 30 yards for another score.
The Alabama Football team
They steamrolled the #9 Clemson Tigers on Saturday 34-10. Bama totally dominated the Tigers all game long with 419 total yards to Clemson's 188. The tide forced 2 turnovers and held the ball 41:13 to Clemson's 18:47.
