East Carolina At West VirginiaEast Carolina fresh off their upset on the road at Virginia Tech will get its second stern test of the season with Pat White and the Mountaineers coming to town. Reality check Pirates, They will not get blown out but will get put in their place 35-14.
Cincinnati At OklahomaOklahoma destroyed Tenn-Chattanooga last week 57-2. The Sooners will get a test from a Bearcat squad that is better than publicized. I predict Oklahoma still wins though 45-21.
Mississippi At Wake ForestHouston Nutt’s will get his first road test in his first year as the Rebels head coach. Wake Forest drilled Baylor last week and will face an SEC team with a new coach and a new formation, the Wild Reb Formation, which is a similar formation used by Arkansas with Darren McFadden last year. The Rebels are a few years away but will get an upset on the road 27-21.
Stanford At Arizona StateWill Stanford build on their momentum after beating Oregon State in week 1? Rudy Carpenter and the Sun Devils will have a lot to say about that and give the Cardinal their first loss of the year 35-17.
Oregon St at Penn StThis is an interesting cross-country match up that pits Joe Pa versus the Pac-10. The irony in this is it has been a while since he has played a team from the Westcoast because generally that only happens in the Rose Bowl. Penn State gets the win 17-10.
San Diego State at Notre DameJimmy Clausen and the golden domers have lot to prove after a horrid season last year. San Diego State should not be a test but the country will be watching to see if Notre Dame is for real or if Charlie Weiss should update his resume. Fighting Irish by 21.
Peace,
Negrodamous
