For me to comment on the article below would be a waste of my time. A post ABOVE it is where my response belongs. I ask myself, am I really in business with this person. Does he need to be demoted or do I need to go in business all myself?
For a Sooner graduate to make these comments is down right ridiculous and unacceptable.
It is okay for Claude to feel the way he does. I mean communications majors aren't the brightest in the world. But you went to OU for crying out loud. Where is the loyalty? I mean, that's like telling your wife she is fat and you are not longer sexually attracted to her. The better thing to say is honey, your gaining weight a little bit, here is a gym memebership for the two of us to work out together and a gift card to Victoria Secret. You don't just turn your back on her.
What makes this more stupid is the fact that this argument has no validity whatsoever. OU is ranked #1 in the country. Texas has played no one essentially. I gurantee you that TCU would kill Colorado any day of the week. Texas has no running game. The secondary is young and talented, but remember YOUNG. Vince Young is gone, and if Colt McCoy is the leading rusher there is a serious problem.
OU on the other has done far better than Texas in every facet of life! Texas would kill to have Demarco Muarry, Chris Brown, or Moises Madu. Did I mention Sam Bradford will be up for the Heisman this year. He is on pace to eclipse every OU record passing wise and I wouldn't be surprised if he set a few national single game records this year. The young Texas' secondary has to to contend with the Jermaine Greshman, Ryan Broyles, Manny Johnson, and Juaqin Iglesias.
The Sooner defense isn't a chop liver either. I contend the Colt McCoy has gotten over his sophomore slump and is playing exceptional and it will be quite a test to see how he does against great competition. I expect him to do well. He is a good college quarterback. I expect him to make plays with Quan Crosby and Jordan Shipley. Don't look for OU to get beat deep though with Lendy Holmes and Nic Harris back deep.
This game should exciting. The Sooners will win by two touchdowns, 35-21. Also Mr. Clayborne will be pimp slapped and deomoted as a business partner and a friend.
Sincerely,
A TRUE SOONER
